OHPinteresting..summer

Tomorrow is August, which I view as the last month of summer. The last month before school starts (Of course not all the time, some places have year round schooling, other places start in August...like here)

So, of course why not pin some summer fun activities that I would love to be able to do.

I love fresh fruit, I hate the fruit flies that comes with them. I can never seem to get rid

of them...they suck. 

This is in tribute to the weather we've been having....it's been so nice. I love when it's like 60 degrees. 

These don't just entertain kiddos...they also entertain me. I guess that makes me a kid at heart.

New Book

Today  I spent time with my mom. It was a great and relaxing. I had some energy to be able to go out and about...of course I started to yawn halfway through which isn't very fun.

But I feel so blessed. My mom took me out to eat, and bought me some new clothes to wear (for when I start to show) I don't have any maternity clothing yet, but I do have some nice new stretchy clothes. I changed into a pair of the capris right away and it felt so much better than my jeans. Even though my jeans are too big and falling off my butt, it's just nice to have stretchy, comfy clothing on.

But, on to the new book. My mom and I went to Barnes and Noble today and she let me pick out a book to read. I think I did a post a while back about ow I love to carry books with me. It gives me something to do when there is down time, or when I have to wait. I love going to the library but sometimes, I just want to be able to have a nice new book of my own.

I picked out  Meet me at the Cupcake Cafe by Jenny Colgan.

It is book with recipes. Which makes me super excited to be able to curl up and read it.

I don't know

This summer has been pretty bad for my blog. I don't know what to write!  I  know that I need to write, I want to write, but I am having a huge writers block this summer.

What to do?  I haven't been doing anything too fun this summer.  I guess I can write a weekly post on my pregnancy, documenting everything. but I don't want this blog to become about that. This is a life style blog and that is what I would like my blog to be about.


I could start to talk about different fall and end of the summer projects I want to do. I have quite a bit of those.

I just don't know.

Any ideas?

Are you a Good Old Girl

On my drive home from my parents house this song came into my head.

Which got my thinking...in the song he talks about being a Good Old Boy. Well, it  made me think about what a good old girl should know.



So going off of the song I will start with some things I can or can't do?

Can you bait a hook? I can use a lure, but not worms...yuck?
Can you skin a buck? Nope, I have never gone hunting ever in my life and will never go.
Do you know who Jack Daniels is? Yes I do.
Can you drive a truck? As long as it's not a stick shift yes. Sticks are hard with my height.
Do you drive the interstate or the back roads? I do both. I don't really like driving the interstate....it's not my cup of tea, so I do prefer the back roads.

And now off of the song and onto some more girly things.

Can you bake cookies and cakes from scratch?  Yes. I love baking from scratch...they taste so much better than the box kind.

Can you host a tea party? For sure! I had tea parties all the time with my stuffed animals.

Paint your nails? Yes. I can also give myself a facial.


But can you answer this question.

A Special Annoncemmnt

Hi all are you ready for my announcement!

Yup! Short, small and in Love is growing by 2 feet!  My wonderful Husband and I are expecting! And to answer all questions now, we are team green. We will not find out the sex of our baby (who we refer too as seedling) until after seedling is born. I want it to be a surprise. Mainly because...this is a huge surprise.

I'm due January 30th of 2014 and I cannot wait. I know every women goes through morning sickness. Well, sometimes it sucks. At week 8 of my pregnancy I ended up in the ER for server dehydration. Why was I so dehydrated? Because I was so sick. I was throwing up after every time I tried to eat. In fact, at that point I had been well over 24 hours with out being able to put any food or liquid in my body and have it stay in.  The ER wasn't a fun experience.

But even after that, I've been sick. I have been nothing but tired, and all food just smells horrible. It's been difficult making sure that I can get enough nutrients in my body for me and for my baby. Which had me so worried. At 9/10 weeks I had lost a ton of weight. But I also had a doctors appointment at 10 weeks.

That was unnerving. Using the Dopppler, they weren't' able to find the heart beat. And then a few days after that, I started spotting and have cramps. I also got super dizzy. I went back into the Drs and again there was no heart beat on the doppler.  After that, I was sent for an ultra sound..where...They found the heart beat. 182! nice and strong.  Of course, I was told that I have a small tear in my placenta.  Which leads me to this laying down on a bed isn't all it's cracked up to be. To be honest, it's very dull and boring. Of course I do sleep a lot, which I'm told is needed.

But, I do have to say that I am glad to be out. OMG, I have been wanting to post about this for such a long time, but I waited. What if I ended up having a miscarriage. What if I lose the baby? I have an appointment on Friday to check everything out and to see if the tear is all healed. I really hope so.
Well, for now baby W also to be known as seedling is done. There is nothing left to write.

The bad Blogger award

Hi everyone,
I have decided that I deserve  the bad Blogger award. Why you may ask? Because this summer I haven't blogged as much as I would have liked.

I know I can say that will change and it may, but I just don't know yet. Things have been a bit difficult for me this summer. As a good Blogger I would share why...and I will just not today. I'm thinking I will share in a week...or two....I think a week.

Until then, I do have some exciting news. I have a job interview for a job that would be my dream job. A real teaching job. So, here is what I need....help. can you please help me prepare. Any interview tips would be greatly appreciated. And any questions to work on would he great too. Please help me. Post those in the comment section.

Oh boy! What can I say about my Winston boy. To start...this is his funny face

I know, so cute right! and of course, Winston loves to give people kisses. Most of the time, he ends up kissing them all over. There face, their arms, eyes, in the era, nose and mouth. But  when he looks as cute as this...there is nothing you can do to get mad at him. Of course, he is probably thinking about putting his tongue in your ear.

Sunday Fun day!

Happy Sunday Funday!

What are your plans? I really want to be able to get out of the house adn just go for a walk around the mall or maybe hit up some garage sales. Those are always fun!

Yarn balls

I have a funny story to share and when I get a chance I will post some pictures.  As everyone knows, Cats love yarn balls. For some strange reason, cats like to play with yarn. I don't know why, but it is really cute.

well, it's not only cats that like yarn balls. No...Winston like them too. He loves to play with them when I'm knitting. Especially if they fall of the floor. He chases them, carries them like they are a tennis ball, and sleeps with them. Sometimes....I wonder is my dog is part cat.

Sunday Catch up

Good morning,
 I hope you all had a great 4th of July week-end. I was a little sick (ugh) but that didn't stop my husband and I from visiting my Mom and Step-dad. We were planning on leaving on the 4th to get to their house, but with me being sick, we weren't able to leave  until mid Friday morning.

When we got there, the fun began.  These pictures are taken from my Mom's face book page.

The game is called Bocci Ball  shot! Basically like Bocci ball, only if you don't get the most points, you take a shot. Well, guess what...I rocked that game. I was the person ho poured the booze and measured the balls and all of that. But, when I was able to sub in, I did awesome!

All in all it was a very fun week end.

Happy Wednesday and Happy 4th.

I am going away for the week end and I don't think I will be able to write a post at all. Maybe if I have time, or a chance to get on the internet, but I really don't think that will happen. So, Happy 4th of July!!! Do you know why America celebrates it? I sure hope so, because I found out today, that not everyone knows why. I also found out that not all the kids know the history of this date and our countries history. As a teacher, this is appalling to me, as a red blooded American...What in the world are our schools teaching?

And now on to some pins for the 4th. Just to let you all know, I have been super busy lately, and haven't been pinning as much as I want too (Insert sad face) but I still think these pins cut it.
