Wedding planning!!!!

No, not for me, but for one of my friends. I'm super excited. I get to help wedding plan!!!!!!!!

(This is how I felt at first)

(and now this is how I feel)

I'm super excited! (If you can't tell.) The wedding is in May (the end of May) and I know this makes me sound superficial , but what am I going to wear? I know I am still tiny for being 28 weeks pregnant, but, I still have 12 weeks of growing left. And then after you give birth you cant work out until 6 weeks later and that give me a month to try to fit back into my old fancy dresses.  I might have to buy a new one or it will be like this

Oh well, I get to help plan a wedding :)

Wedding Tuesday

With H's new Job, it's better for him not to wear his ring right now. :( So he has left it in my possession. I will make sure that nothing happens to it, but holding on to his ring is also super sad because the person who stole mine, was never found. :(. I was really looking forward to being able to do the wedding ring test once I started showing to figure out if this baby is a boy or a girl. I know, it's will be wrong, or I will forget it once the baby comes. But I figure it could be fun.

Anyways, some wedding pics. All of these were taken by Mandy.

Long week

It's been a long rainy week. I really wish it was Friday, but I really, REALLY, can't wait until Saturday! I know some people may know why, but for those who don't it's because Saturday will the 1 year anniversary of my marriage! Yes,I will have been married to the best man for me for 1 year!

I'm super excited. We will be having CAKE! On our little mini-moon we had top tier because it wasn't in a freezer burn proof box. So, my husband, being the amazing man that he is ordered a cake from the bakery where we got our wedding cake from. He got us our own top tier! I'm super excited to pick it up tomorrow and eat it on Saturday! So, some pictures of my wedding cake.

Since it's Thursday- stop off at Jamie's blog! I love the link up she does.

A look back at 6/8/12

I can't believe that in just a few short months my husband I will have been married for  year! I guess that means we are no longer newlyweds. As I think back on my wedding I think back to the moment we (and by we I mean my girls, mom and I ) were getting ready.  Before I go into the bride, I think I should share some of the groom.

The guys all got ready at the apartment. I asked them to take pictures, but being guys they didn't take too much. This is what I have

I see we have some pacing, smiling and getting dressed. :)

For me, the bride, I have my photographer take photos. (you can click the link or the pictures to go to her website)

Candy Buffet

I can't believe it's  been over 7 months that I've been married. I also can't believe I've been forgetting to share some of the wonderful experiences of my wedding. I have covered;  the flowers, the dress, what to do with the flowers after the wedding, the cake, shoes, and the invitations. I covered tips on how to save for a wedding and I briefly mentioned my favors.

Today I'm going to talk more about my favors.

I had the traditional Jordan Almonds in white. There were five of them all wrapped up in a small tulle bag. Attached to the bag was a small card saying

" Five Sugared Almonds for each guest to eat,
To remind us that life is both bitter and sweet.
Five wishes for the new husband and wife,
Health, wealth, happiness, children,
And a long life."
 For the buffet I had:

A lollipop tree
Gummi bears
Air heads
Jolly Ranchers
Salt Water Taffy
Laffy Taffy
Kisses
Twizzlers
M &Ms
Apples and Oranges
Pixie Stixs
Skittles
Reese's Pieces
Mints
Mike and Ikes
and a mixed variety of sweets.

I know it's a lot. But at the end- there wasn't much candy left over at all (which was what Jeff and I wanted) My guests loved the variety on the Candy buffet. To let the guests know to take from the buffet we had a very cute sign

"Thank You
for joining us on our very special day.
Please enjoy some treats from our
Candy Buffet
Love,
Dani & Jeff"

And now some pictures. All the pictures are from Mandy (My Photographer)

Wedding Flowers

After I go married, I posted that through out the year I would bring up some stuff from my wedding. I planned to do this because I didn't want to bombard all of you with my wedding right away. Today, I wanted to share my flowers.

For my wedding I wanted to be simple, and just have one maybe  two different types of flowers. One of my favorite flowers are Lilacs. Sadly, they are not really wedding flowers, plus are not in season in June. Another favorite flower of mine is the ever beautiful Peonies.

I used  Peonies for my wedding. In fact, minus the boutonnieres and flowers for moms and grandparents all the flowers were peonies. For those items that involved flowers listed above were spring roses.
Spring Roses

The Bouquets were all peonies. Mine was a mix of dark pink, light pink and white. My sister had dark pink, while my other bridesmaids had light pink. I did that to show a difference between the maid of honor.  The Toss bouquet was made to look very similar to mine. I included a little note to the women who caught my bouquet thanking them for being at my wedding and wishing them happiness.

Close ups of my bouquet- the white hanki was my grandma's. (my something old)

I used the bouquets to decorate the head table! Very unique center pieces.

The note on the toss bouquet.

The last thing are my center pieces.  I have two different center pieces involving the flowers. One was a small version of my bouquet, the other was a floating Peonies.

Well, that's all for now about my wedding. If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to share.
