Avocado recipies

In our house there is one food that can make everyone (but Winston) happy. That food is avocado. Peanut lights up when he sees me grab one. My husband and I have decided that Peanut's favorite food is avocado. Since he loves it so much, my husband and I have been coming up with different ways to incorporate it into our meals.

There is the ever classic guacamole:

  • Grab how ever many avocados you want
  • garlic cloves (I use 1 clove for 2 avocados- so grab the amount that you need)
  • Onion (I cut up a quarter of a small onion for 2 avocados)
  • Lemon juice
  • Lime juice
  • dash of salt and pepper
I mix everything together, squeeze half a lemon and lime over the guacamole, mix that and serve.

I also have added avocado to :

  • grilled cheese
  • chicken salad
  • tuna fish
  • baked chicken
  • turkey burgers
  • and so much more.

I love experimenting with it, and really love seeing Peanut's face when he has some.

14.5 weeks

I cannot believe that on Friday, this Friday, I will have been a mom for 15 weeks.  In those 15 weeks, I have learned so much about life. I never knew before that I could function on little to no sleep. But, I can.  And I never knew that I could love some one so much, but I do. My little boy, is so precious to me.  He is adorable, and I  love him so very much.

I can tell that his dad loves him too. It makes me smile when I see my husband and son playing together. Last night, my husband gave him a bath, and you could just tell that both he and my husband were having fun.

My little one...

Oh my, oh my. I never knew how hard being a mom is.

My little one was born early.
My little one was in the NICU.
My little one had to be transferred to a different hospital.
My little one came home with medical equipment.
My little one needed help breathing and eating.
My little one needed medical equipment until he was 17 days old.
My little one was hoovering too close to being too small for my comfort.
My little one is too small for Newborn clothing and diapers
yet...
My little man is a miracle!
He has surived so much, in his short time outside of me.
He began breathing with out any help,
his liver began to function like it should,
he opened his eyes.
He is now being alert,
able to eat with minimal help,
and...
the best thing of all...
able to hold my finger with his little hands.

He is strong.
Really strong.
He is sweet,
small,
and
perfect.

He made me a mother, and gave me the most horrible emotional roller coaster ride of my life. He was born after a 54 hour labor followed by a C-section. He had complications, I had complications, but for some reason, God was watching after both of us and let me and my  little miracle live.

To my readers, I would like to introduce you to my little boy:

28 weeks!

I can't believe it, I can't believe that I have made it so far.

Yup, so I'm getting the size of an eggplant from two different apps, I also got the size of a small to medium pumpkin and lettuce.. But they all said the baby should be about 2 to 2.5lbs and a little over 14 inches. So...who wants eggplant?

The brain is developing, as well as the lungs. In fact is it an important time right now, because of how much development is going on in the brains and lungs. Fat is starting to build up under the skin and the baby is using his/ her muscles. I can tell this one, will be strong based on how hard they kick.

On to me :) I have nothing new. Well, that's not true, I've been struggling with insomnia but when I can sleep, it's been a really heavy sleep which is new to me. I'm usually a light sleeper. Oh and the other exciting news, I have finally finished my baby registry!

November thankfulness

Can you believe that it is November already? It seems like just a year ago I was posting what I was thankful for. Instead of doing that for everyday, I will create a post once a week for what I'm thankful for. This week, being the first week of November, I want to say that I'm thankful for my husband. He is a wonderful man.

J provides for me. He works harder than any one I  have seen, just to make sure that I am taken care of. Not only that, but to make sure that my stress level is low so this baby inside me is safe. He makes sure that I am happy over his happiness, and to me, that is love. Since we have moved, I know things are tough, but by seeing how hard my wonderful husband works, I know just how loved I am. And for that, I'm extremely thankful for him.

25 weeks

For my 25 week picture I was photo bombed by my dog..you can see his head.

So seedling is getting bigger. About  13.6-14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2 pounds.
The baby has vocal chords developed, body fat and hair are starting to develop too. My baby knows what way is up and down and still kicking like crazy.
Symptoms: For me nothing too exciting. Still getting sick, still super tired, back pain, but it will be worth it in the end.
Purchases: Nothing yet. We don't want to buy something and then lose the baby.
Gender: I'm going to leave it up to you...so gender things....I have been craving both sweet and salty food when I do have cravings. (keeping them down...is another story) and I have been sleep on both my right and left side. So, what do you think?

23 weeks...A little long

Today I'm 23 weeks.

So Baby is the size of a grape fruit! About 11 inches long and a little over a pound. This baby is just a little smaller than what the average is, but still looking good.
Symptoms:  I'm tired and sick, (I feel that this should be an all the time symptom for me), Let's see, my back hurts a bit, and I have had insomnia.
Gender ideas: Again, I have no clue, but what do you all think? This week, all I have been wanting are sweets. Like super sugary unhealthy for you items. Thankfully Jeff doesn't let me get what I crave, or I would have eaten a whole cake this week.

Other notes: Nothing too exciting, but I did get to see the baby this week. I wrote about it below, if you have a week stomach...just skip to the end.

So I had an ultra sound on Monday. And all was going well until I felt sick. And next thing I know I was like this:

Then I was like this:

But during the ultra sound the baby was kickng nad flipping a lot. So much so I think my baby may become like this when she/he is my age

So after that...I went to sleep. But later that night, he/she was kicking hard again and this time Jeff was able to feel her kick. It was wonderful :)

Happy Friday!

Whoo hoo! I'm so happy it's Friday, what about you. today is a busy, busy day. I need, NEED, to finish unpacking. I know people say it's okay, you're pregnant, you have a cold, you need to rest. But I just want to stop living out of boxes!

Sorry about my rant/vent.  But I am looking forward to some thing to do once the new home is unpacked.

1. Decorating for fall
2. Getting the baby's room ready.
3. Feeling like an accomplished adult.
4. Having people over (I need to make friends first though)

Halfway!

Today marks the day! I'm halfway baked!

So, the baby is the size of a banana, or the size of whoopee cushion (if you know what those are)
The baby is about 10 oz and 6.5 inches long.
This week, the baby has taste buds! That's exciting! This baby also like to be by my bladder I found out and kick it. Especially at night or when I'm sleeping.

So symptoms: I'm still super tired, but now I can go about 24-48 hours without throwing up! I still have morning sickness just not as bad. I haven't experienced anything else though...maybe I will in time. I have been having weird dreams...so maybe that is a sign.

We move to our new place this weekend and I'm super excited to be able to buy baby stuff. We haven't bought anything yet, but now I'm thinking we might want too.

Gender predictions: All my family is still on the boy route, and I still have no feeling what so ever. So what do you all think?

Wedding Tuesday

With H's new Job, it's better for him not to wear his ring right now. :( So he has left it in my possession. I will make sure that nothing happens to it, but holding on to his ring is also super sad because the person who stole mine, was never found. :(. I was really looking forward to being able to do the wedding ring test once I started showing to figure out if this baby is a boy or a girl. I know, it's will be wrong, or I will forget it once the baby comes. But I figure it could be fun.

Anyways, some wedding pics. All of these were taken by Mandy.

It's a New Girl time....

I seriously love my Husband. This week-end has been nothing but chaos! If I go into the details, you all would need a coffee break in the middle of reading it, and then a cookies at the end. So to save your eyes, I'm just going to brag about my husband, and his awesome friends who helped us out.

Actually, we are staying with them, until our new place opens up for us. So, it's me, and three guys. In a way, I feel like Jess form New Girl

So, we have all of our stuff in their apartment, along with Winston. Which makes this super fun. Of course, for me, since I couldn't really help with moving items, the first thing I do for all these men is make them dinner. (It's the least I could do, like really, my husband and his friends have been wonderful).  But, in the process of making dinner this was the only  thought going through my head

And then, if anything ends up bugigin me, I might say something like this

Anyways, I'm super excited for this next week. Of course I will be on the road again, but, soon and very soon, I will be posting about my new place. and then maybe...just maybe...we might buy some stuff for the baby.
