It's that time of year....

where I start thinking about gardens. Last year, I didn't have a lot of sun light in my little tiny apartment. Due to that, none of my plants really grew, outside or inside. But this year, I have a small yard!!!!

So of course, I'm planning my herb garden. I really want to try something like this:

With the following herbs:
  • Basil
  • Mint varieties (Peppermint, chocolate mint, grapefruit mint)
  • Oregano
  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Dill
  • Chives
Of course, I also want to make my flower pots look pretty. These pictures are from a blog called The Cottage Garden

I love how pretty these look.

And something like this with my son's little feet prints!!!!

There are so many things I want to try. What about you?

Bath time fun!

I just have to share, because, well, these are some very cute pictures. My son has started smiling now, and it's not just for gas, which makes me one very happy mama. The other day I was giving him a bath and he smiled, and I was able to catch it on film! (Do you like how I said on film) So, here you go, some cute bath time photos.

Craft time

I miss my knitting time. I have tried to spend some time each night to knit/work on some projects. I would love to be able to make a good supply of hats for my son before the next winter hits. I just have to figure out what size head he will have. I also want to make mittens for my husband and maybe something for me.

For me..What do you all think?

For my son

For my husband...I would add a flip top  cover.

Babies take up a lot of time

Babies take up a lot of time. When  I say a lot of time, I mean a lot of time. I feel lucky if I can accomplish one task like doing the laundry or cooking dinner, or even knitting.

But, with all the time he takes up, I wouldn't trade it for the world.  It is nice to know that he wants me and not just needs me now.  It is a wonderful feeling when he falls asleep on my chest.

So with that, I will try to post as much as I can. Maybe once or twice a week, but who knows.

Pictures

Sometimes I like to have fun and dabble with photography. I have ideas, and photos I would love to copy.  Then I try them and I fail. But the point is I try. I know one day I will be able to take some really good pictures. Right now, since we haven't had a chance to get professional photos done, I have been trying to take some of my own. But they don't always look the greatest. Some pictures I would love to try include the following:

Love this idea

Two months

Monday was a bit of a tough day. My son turned two months and got his first round of vaccines.  Now, I am not a fan of shots myself , and seeing my son get shots was so hard. He cried the minute he got poked.  I know there are some people who aren't a fan of vaccines, they think they cause Autism...THEY DON'T! Other people think vaccines are more dangerous than  the diseases they are suppose to be preventing, and some people think they don't work.

Well, here is what I have to say...if I can protect my baby against some terrible diseases like measles, polio and diphtheria, then I will do it. I want to keep my son protected.

Okay, I'm off my rant now.  My son can roll from tummy to back and is starting to coo. He is a very chatty little guy. He must take after his mama, he also takes after me with his taste of music, (which I already posted about) and his love to wiggle (dance) to music. Which makes me happy because he is his daddy's mini-me.
