Pinteresting Gardens

Pinterest and Gardens? Again!

Yup- sorry all but I just can't help but day dream about the day when my black thumb turns green. Thankfully Pinterest has a ton of ideas for me to use and store away for when that happens.

I think these are beautiful

Fairy Gardens and Poppy

I have wonderful, wonderful news.

Poppy (My beautiful lemon tree) has new leaves and new branches!  I will post pictures later when I'm able to get them off of my phone. It is horrible not having a working camera. I may post about ones that I'm looking at and would like to buy. But back to my tree. Poppy has new branches and leaves and that means only on thing, in 2 years Poppy will be producing lemons. And I cannot wait to use those lemons!!!

and  now on to wonderful fairy gardens.  I love fairy gardens. I have some pins on pinterest that I cannot wait to do:

I love the mini gardens and fairy houses in this pin.

The log house is pretty cute.

and of course my mom made some fairy houses. Here are her pictures:

Don't you just love them? I know I do.

Happy Memorial Day!

Today I want to wish a Happy Memorial day to all my wonderful readers. Please thank any service men or women that you know. Today is in honor of their service.  So Thank you !

I also just want to put a side note in: Tomorrow starts my busy time. For the next two weeks I will be working about 12 hour days. I will try to get all my post written ahead of time, but I may not be able to. I'm sorry for that. Also, since the comments on here need to be approved by me, if you post one (and I really hope you do) know that it may take me a few hours to approve it.

I'm also trying this new link up today.

What in the world

What in the world!

On Thursday I made a post and it never worked out.

So I'm rewriting it in hope that it works this time.

Day 21- Your  favorite posts!

I loved this one about wedding tips. I talked about how we kept our wedding with in our budeget and what do to, to keep yours wit in your budget.

I love this post. I talked about what I did with the flowers from my wedding, the ribbons and the extra hem of my dress. I think it was a wonderful DIY craft.

This is a post written from my Winston boy. I figure, since it was fun to write, it must be fun to read.

This is one of my first posts about NF- the disease that I have. It was one of the first times that I talked about NF on my blog.

Day 22: Rant

I hate, hate, hate when people complain about those who vent. I understand if someone vents a lot it's annoying, but sometimes people need to vent and they don't need someone telling them to stop. They may have something bugging them and it need to just let it all out to feel better and telling them, it's a pointless vent or that they are stupid and haven't learned anything doesn't help them with their feelings.  I also hate what is now known as vaugebooking- passively aggressively fighting with someone on Facebook. Or being passive aggressive in general. If you gave an issue with someone why don't you tell it to their face?

Day 24: Your Worse traits

My 3 worst traits are:  I'm talkative, I procrastinate and I don't always think before I speak.

Sunday Social

I had a wonderful week end. J and I went to visit my mom and step dad. We gave mt mom her mother's day gift (three mint plants, one spearmint, one Grapefruit mint and one  chocolate mint) If you have never smelt a mint plant I say go out and buy one. They smell amazing.

I'm going to participate in Sunday Social today!

Sunday Social

1. What is your favorite kind of Surprise?
I would say the kind that come from the heart.  For Valentines day I had to work and my husband finished cleaning and made me dinner. I didn't even think we were going to be able to celebrate it.  It's little thing like that, that makes me happy.

2. Flowers or Chocolate
Anyone who knows me would say Chocolate. I love Chocolate. It's so yummy, but I also love flowers, and I love having fresh flowers in my living room.

3. Favorite Summer time activity
I love to read. I love to read under trees, laying on a towel in front of a body of water, or just soaking up the sun reading. It's one thing that I love to do.

4. Do you have any summer vacations planned?
No, nope, sadly nada :(

5. Favorite Summer holiday?
I would say the 4th of July because that is when my H and I officially became boyfriend girl friend, but them my grandma died on that day, so I really don't know

6. Dream vacation!
 Italy and Ireland!

And on to one more day in the blog everyday challenge

Day 19, Sunday: Five of your favorite blogs and what you love about them

1. Ashlyn from On Cloud Nine:
We meet while planning our weddings and are at some very similar times in our lives. Plus, she is an awesome blogger! I know she did a guest post for me and I loved it. So, please, please go check her out!

2. Heather from Every Girl Like Me:
Heather is a fellow teacher and she is even lucky than me. She had her own classroom a dream that I have been having for such a long time and can't wait to get. You need to get  to her blog stat because it's a blast to read.

3.  Jasmine form Sassy Burnette
Jasmine is from Wisco just like me, but she too is originally from New York (again just like me) So what's not to love? Her blog reaches the name of being Sassy. I love reading her blog. She is super fun so go and get a little sass added to your day.

4. Jamie from Toby Tails:
I love reading Jamie's blog. It's such a great and professional blog.  She just recently got engage which is wonderful. I love the fashion that Jamie talks about, and she has a ton of give a ways  In fact she is who I won my give away from. So head on over to her blog.

5. Lindsey  from Follow the Ruels:
Lidnsey is one just like Jamie- the writer of a great blog with a great following. I hope to achieve what they have one day. I love reading Lindsey's blog. She had great fashion sense so please, please go check her out.

Ad space, & My life catch-up

My oh Myo,

It's Thursday, one more day until the week-end, where I'm going home to visit my mommy! (Yay) Since I most likely am not going to write until Sunday, this post is going to a long one. (Sorry)

Anyways,  I have now got a paypal account and with that, have finally set up a full on passion fruit ad  shop where if you want to sponsor me you can. In fact, here's my plan, you sponsor me, I sponsor you and I let you do a guest post. How does that sound? I think it sounds great. Anyways, please check it out and if you just want to do a button swap please email me and let me know.

Now one to catch up for my life story.

Day 13: Public apology

Let's see, a while back I wrote a post about "princesses" and how those types of girls suck. I went on to describe what some of them might do and listed examples from one such "princess" in this world that I know.  If you are new here (or newer than last summer) I deleted the said post. But I would like to issue a public apology for getting my anger out on the internet instead of being an adult and talking it over. BUT, I am not issuing an apology for one thing- and that is what I said about you hurting my mom and me not taking it. The truth is, I feel you should make a PUBLIC apology in front of EVERYONE an let them know how you have been MISTREATING my mother who have been nothing but nice to you.

I apologize for me being me, and not calling my friends as much as I should. I really procrastinate.

Day 14: 10 things that make you happy!

Let's see:

Chocolate
My Husband
My family
Winston
Reading books
Bubble baths
Wine
Knitting
Dance
Cute animals

Day 15: Pictures of your day-
Yeah-I forgot...sorry :( Also, I'm really bad at remembering to take pictures even when I do have a camera with me.

Day 16: Something difficult in my life and how I'm working to over come it

I guess, something difficult would be the cleaning of my place. I feel it is always a mess and that no matter how hard I work to clean, nothing ever gets done with it. I just don't know what to do about it. I try and it's clean for like 2 or 3 days, but then  I make dinner and am tired so my husband says go to bed, he will do the dishes, but I wake up and they are still there and dirty and then I work a really long shift and by the time I come home I want to go back to bed. UGH- so if you have any tips please, please, PLEASE let me know.

and a picture just to lighten up the mood:

Happy Hump day!  I am so excited that it's Wednesday. This week has been a rough one. So why not pin and share things that make a rough week better.

This looks so much like Winston

Bahahaha

I feel these can take the roughness of the week away and if not, I know this will

I hope that you all have been having  better week then I have had.

Life at the dog park

This is going to be a satirical post. (So basically, what I'm saying is my opinion but I'm going to try to make it in a funny way. ) With the weather being as beautiful as it has been, I've been taking Winston to the dog park a lot. He loves, (And I mean LOVES) to go the the dog park. There is a ton of space for him to run and stretch his legs. Plus he smiles when he is there and his smile is ohh so cute.  (I tried so hard to get a picture of this but he just wouldn't let me.)

So on to the types of dogs one may or may not see at the doggy park

The I want to play with everyone Dog

This dog thinks that everyone is it's friend. She thinks that every dog is there to play with her. She is the first dog to greet your dog and the dog that makes it very difficult to leave. She is the dog that is at the center of every game, trying to steal your dogs' tennis ball and making sure she gets pet by everyone.

The Anti- Social Dog

This dog refuses to play with any one. Whether it be because the dog has a tennis ball,  Frisbee or toy they they WANT to play with and NOT share, or because the dog is just mean, this dog ignores every one (This is Winston when we bring his tennis ball to the dog park) Sometimes, if you hide the toy this dog will play. Other times, this dog will just stand by their parents legs and growl at all the other dogs there.

The I'm going to try to mount every dog

I feel this dog is just...well explained by the title. There is that one dog who is there all the time where the owner is off somewhere not watching him and this dog feels the need to assert his dominance  over all the other dogs.

The Little dog who thinks he is a big dog

This too is also Winston. This dog is usually around 20 lbs or less but plays with the dogs who are 3 to 4 times his size. By this dog is usually the big dog who thinks he is a lap dog. They go hand in hand and are super fun to watch playing together.

I know it;s not much, but that is about all that I've got right now. As I said this post is not to inflict any harm by any means, just to show some funny sides of the doggy park.

I miss you

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Moms out there. You do so much for your kids and we are so grateful for you.

Day 10, Friday: Most embarrassing moment (s). Spill.

My most embarrassing moments. Let's see I have a few that I consider very embarrassing- there could be the time I was reading in Church, a story out of the book of Job (pronounced J-OO-B) and I said Job. Or the time that I tripped during a dance performance, or the time that I read untie as unite. No, I think the most embarrassing one was when I was alter serving. I was in 4th grade and super excited to be alter serving, but sadly during the middle of the Our Father, I opened my mouth to say the prayer and I puked. In front of everyone, Father and God.

Day 11, Saturday: Sell yourself in 10 words or less

Why does this sound like an interview question? Oh wait because it is! At least for those working with students/ Kids. I know I have been asked this question many times (only it's 3 words or 5 words) Anyways here you go:

Enthusiastic
Empathetic
Energetic
Caring
Imaginative
Loving

Playful
Honest
Thoughtful
Out-side of the box

Since I was able to rattle them off in less than 3 minutes I think I have had to answer this question too many times.

Day 12, Sunday:
What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)

Can I change this to who do I miss. I miss my best friend, Becky! We've been friends since we were 7. Right now she is in New Orleans for school.

(That's my sister,me, and Becky at my Dad's Wedding)

(graduation party)

I miss my old pets. Nana- my dog. She was wonderful, Tizzy- my cat, although she was fat she was great. Espresso, Sunset, Pitty-Pat and Muffins- all the other cats we had.

I Miss my Grandma. I miss her so much that I can't stand it. I wanted her at my wedding, I wanted to be able to call her up and talk to her. We would talk about everything and anything. Knitting, the pets, school, the Yankees... just anything and everything. We would talk every Sunday for at least an hour as well as on Wednesdays. When she passed away...I...I was never able to say goodbye and I..just...I miss her so much.

It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down...

 On Friday!

Okay raise your hands if you know that song and like it?  Sorry, but I don't like it, it;s just want the kids I teach sing on Friday, leading it to get stuck in my head. To be honest, I feel a great song to listen to on this wonderful Friday  is.....

to be honest it is currently one of my favorite songs right now. It just has a great beat to listen to, and it's blast to roll down my windows when driving and turn the music up.

This week has been a pretty good week, plus there is a new favorite game where I work.

Who can guess the game....that's right FOURSQUARE! (okay, maybe I didn't need all caps for that) But- it's so fun to see an "old school" game being played. Of course the kids these days have all these new rules like Hospital-  if someone catches the ball, the can pick someone else to lose a leg or an arm and  bus stop- where you have to race to get to square A first.  It's so different from when I played. Or maybe my friends and I played weird? What were your foursquare rules?

More chapters of my life story...

It's Thursday!!!

It's been a wonderful week weather wise. The sun has been shinning, there is a nice cool breeze coming form the Mississippi  and then bouncing back off the buffs. It has been wonderful.  So I figured, why not continue with my life story. But first, some thoughts. I'm linking up with It's Okay Thursdays  and Thursday's Thoughts today.
My fist thought is it's okay to not write a blog post every day. Sometimes, I just have nothing to say and why should I write a nonsense post? Going off of that, how often to you my readers, have time to read my blog. I know I can't read all the blogs I follow in one day, so I pick certain ones each day to catch up on. I figure it's okay that  I get busy.  Also, it's okay that I have been nothing but tired for the past week. I think it must be allergies, so it's okay that I have them (not really, but hey the link is about stuff that is okay)

And now on to the some more chapters of my life story

Day 7- What are you most afraid of?

Snakes, Spiders, bugs, creepy crawly things, failure, and ending up alone

Day 8- Piece of advice?

I have a lot, but I guess one thing that is to laugh often. Laughter is great medicine. I know that there will be times in your life where you can't or don't want to laugh, but just try.

Day 9- A moment in your day

My moment that happens every day is me walking Winston.

ciao,

I pinned it and did it :)

Hello,

It's Wednesday and I'm linking up with Michelle from the Vintage Apple for

And with Little Daisy Mae from This Kind of love for

Just because I'm loving this pin.

This is a first type of post for me. I'm posting based off of a pin I found. (Yay Pinterest). This is the pin

I wanted to do something like it with a lamp shade that I had. The issue is well- my lape shade is not straight up and down like the one in the pin. Mien has a curve- so the ribbon wouldn't look as good. Instead I added bows and  flowers.

The bows are from this pin:  (And they really weren't that hard to make at all)
