Dresses

One of my favorite things about summer is all the pretty, beautiful sun dresses out there. I love to wear sun dresses. I have a few from  American Eagle that I love and a few from Maurices.

Of course, I'm looking online at...you name it, Sundresses.

I love how pretty, girly and flirty these are.  What do you think?

35 days left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and great Holidays if you don't celebrate Christmas.

Today I had a Doctors appointment and it hit both my husband and I that we have 35 days left. Yes, 35 days.  It's so odd, once you are 35 weeks, you can count the weeks on your hand. Anyways, here is a picture.

So, his/her hearing is fully developed and this little one has moved lower.  Which means that I'm getting uncomfortable, but hey...all pregnant women are suppose to be uncomfortable at the time.  With their being a month left, I'm super excited, but also super nervous.

32 and 33 week update

Hi all,
So are you ready for the 32 and 33 week update? I know I am.

So we will start with size. This little one is growing and fast. His/her bones are hardening, he/she is developing fat and the lungs and brain are started to get 100% developed. (YAY) and yes, in the second picture I have on a maternity shirt.

Baby is still head down, and very active, he/she keeps me up all night.  I don't really have much to add, but that we do need to clean things up and set up the nursery. I will post pictures as soon as that happens :)

29 and 30 week update

I'm sorry, I got a cold and well, sleep was my friend.

So you get a 29 week picture, a 30 week picture and an update! (As well as a list of what I will try to cover in the next month)

In the pictures I say how big the baby is, so I'm not going to post that again. This baby  is still very active, I think he or she sleeps like 4 or 5 hours a day. Otherwise, I'm getting kicked in the ribs and punched in the bladder.  He or she also likes to hang out on my right side, that is where I'm feeling the most movement.

Now for mommy updates. (It's scary thinking I'm going to be a mommy):  I haven't been as sick these past two weeks (but now I have probably jinxed myself and will get super sick) which I like. I'm just super tired, like my body is tired, and my mind is tired, but I cannot fall asleep. Not for the life of me, and when I do fall asleep, I'm always waking up. I have also started to get heart burn, it's not bad and very manageable, so that's good.

What else, Oh the crib came on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very excited for that. Now we just need bedding for it. They next big ticket item...the car seat.  Of course, we do need a lot of other items, but the big ticket items to me are the most important.

I think I have  updated you all on everything. Unless anyone has any gender guesses?

Topics:

  • I have been knitting some pretty cute items, so I think I will share a pattern. I also made headbands if this LO is a girl and am finishing up a tie if this LO is a boy.
  • Why not post some wonderful food topics. Yum yum.
  • Pinterest idea, because face it pinterest is awesome
  • The first snow. When ever we have that.
  • And let's see, maybe some thoughts on why I have been a sucky blogger.

28 weeks!

I can't believe it, I can't believe that I have made it so far.

Yup, so I'm getting the size of an eggplant from two different apps, I also got the size of a small to medium pumpkin and lettuce.. But they all said the baby should be about 2 to 2.5lbs and a little over 14 inches. So...who wants eggplant?

The brain is developing, as well as the lungs. In fact is it an important time right now, because of how much development is going on in the brains and lungs. Fat is starting to build up under the skin and the baby is using his/ her muscles. I can tell this one, will be strong based on how hard they kick.

On to me :) I have nothing new. Well, that's not true, I've been struggling with insomnia but when I can sleep, it's been a really heavy sleep which is new to me. I'm usually a light sleeper. Oh and the other exciting news, I have finally finished my baby registry!

27 weeks. Happy Halloween!

Which means that this LO will be here in 13 weeks give or take a few.

The baby is...well all the different apps are telling my different things. I have the size of a cauliflower from one app, a head of lettuce from another app, and a rutabaga from another. All I got from them is that the baby is around 2lbs, and about 14 inches long.

This week the baby is sleeping at regular intervals. I think my child likes to sleep during the day, because he/she is the most active come 4pm on and doesn't calm down until like 9 am. Which doesn't help me sleep. Unless he/she is trying to  prepare me for motherhood.

Brain tissue and lung tissue are developing right now! Also, the brain is very active right now, making this LO move around, kick/ flip, suck his/her thumb, and hiccup.

Now on to me: I have nothing new. Still sick (to the point where it doesn't even phase me anymore) still have back pain, still tired, but now I'm also an insomniac. Oh, and all I've been wanting is ice water. Juice and milk just taste way too sweet.

Gender: Human!!!! IDK I had a dream about a little boy last night. But then the other night it was a little girl. But in both dreams it was human.

Winston and I are saying Happy Halloween!

(This picture is from last years Halloween)

26 weeks.

Today I am 26 weeks.  My last week in 2nd trimester. I have 98 days left until my due date! EEEKKK!

Baby is about 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and 14 inches long. So the size of a head of lettuce, egg plant or a lunch box? Hmm, I don't think I have a baby the size of a lunch box.

The baby is moving around a lot! At the last doctors office the doctor was chasing the baby around with the doppler. He/She is practicing breathing so hiccups are happening. I haven't felt them yet, but I probably will soon. He/She is also is growing eye lashes. I hope that this baby gets my husbands eye lashes, since mine are super short and his are long.

My symptoms: Let's see, I'm still tired, and still having bouts of nausea, but this past week, I haven't been super sick. It is getting harder to fall asleep (even though I'm super tired), my back still hurts, and I have noticed I have been needed my inhaler a bit more. Otherwise, I have had a bits of energy, which is helpful to get things organized and set up for the baby. (mainly research)

Updates: I have been doing more and more research on different baby items, so that way when my husband and I can take a road trip to the "big" city where they have a Target and Babies R Us was know what we want to look at.

Gender guesses:  My husband thinks that this little one is a girl. Some of my friends and family think it's a boy. I really don't know.  I found this on Pinterest:

Let's see:
Morning sickness: YES!
Cravings: When I have them I want both sweet and salty stuff
Mood: I think I've been moody, it's kind of hard to be happy when you are working on keeping food in, and worried about a bunch of things.
Skin: Soft? I have always had pretty soft skin and I haven't noticed a difference
Sleeping: I'm throwing you all for a loop, up until two weeks ago, I was still sleeping on my stomach. Right now, I'm trying to get comfortable on my side, and I switch between the right and left side.
Headaches: I have had a few, so Yes.
Balance: My balance has been off. I'm going with unstable for this.
Chinese Calender: I got boy and girl.

Also today is October 24th. I believe the Petites link up is still going on. I am linking up this post, but it will be the only pregnancy post that I will link up. I hope those readers from it, don't mind.

Hemming jeans

As you all know I'm a bit crafty. So this week end, I figured why not hem the maternity jeans my wonderful mom got me. Now, these jeans started out 6 inches too long.

So the first thing I did was measure where I wanted these jeans to fall on me. Then I folded them up (like when you crop jeans) and pinned then on the hem. (this took a few tries since I had to pin them a few different times)

Then I sewed really close to the hem of the jeans. I made sure it wasn't underneath the hem, but super close to the hem.

After that I cut off the extra fabric. (Be careful here, you don't want to cut off your hem line, I did that and had to make some changes)

And last, remove the pins, fold the hem back over (iron it if you want it flat) and wear your newly hemmed jeans!

Not bad if I don't say so myself.

25 weeks

For my 25 week picture I was photo bombed by my dog..you can see his head.

So seedling is getting bigger. About  13.6-14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2 pounds.
The baby has vocal chords developed, body fat and hair are starting to develop too. My baby knows what way is up and down and still kicking like crazy.
Symptoms: For me nothing too exciting. Still getting sick, still super tired, back pain, but it will be worth it in the end.
Purchases: Nothing yet. We don't want to buy something and then lose the baby.
Gender: I'm going to leave it up to you...so gender things....I have been craving both sweet and salty food when I do have cravings. (keeping them down...is another story) and I have been sleep on both my right and left side. So, what do you think?

24 weeks...16 left!!!!!

Can You believe that I have 16 weeks left. 16 Weeks!  Where did the time go? What am I going to do? There is so much to do to

Baby is the size of a Cauliflower, Ear of corn, or Cantaloupe, is 10 to 12 inches inches long and about a pound and a half.

As much as I would like to post more, I'm just not able too. This week was a bit tough and hard on me, but thankfully my baby is doing okay.  Let's see here is something funny though, Winston was resting by my stomach the other day, the baby kicked him and he pushed his paw back at the baby.

And let's see, the ever so gender debate. Being team green it's fun to try to guess the gender. So what do you think?

Oh the knitter in me

It's been a long time since I have talked abut knitting. So to start....Sometimes, I wish people would just let me sit down and knit until I don't want to knit any more.

Or just let me play around on pinterest or in knitting books because

But no. It doesn't happen.  Although when I do get the time to look at pinterest...sometimes I like the tings I see, other  times I try the project and it's a fail.

This one was a fail...doesn't work.

And sadly this one doesn't work all the time too :(

And these are super cute...but they don't lead to a pattern. O boy.  Why does pinterest do this to me?

Ciao,

(Oh I know it's Tuesday, but I'm going to have this post be my Pinterest post for the week, so linking up with Michelle from TheVintage Apple for Oh So Pinteresting. )

22 weeks!

Today I am 22 weeks. Below the picture is from 2 different days. So how do I look?

Are you ready...The baby is getting nice a big, 10.5 to 11.8 inches. The size of a papaya, spaghetti squash or  baseball mitt (which the baby could be that size for the next 2 weeks) . My baby is almost a pound too!

He/she can hear voice and music and other noises that are outside the womb now. I wonder if that means that my baby is listening to the spice girls with me that I listen too when I clean? His/her little face is fully formed (and I get a sneak peak of that face on Monday!) Seedling is sleeping now about 12-14 hours a day and when he/she isn't sleeping, I'm getting kicked right below my belly button and my left side.  The baby also has eyebrows!  I wonder how the facial expressions look?

Symptoms for me: Still sick, still tired, oh and I have found that I need my inhaler more. Let's see, I have also been having some head aches and lower back pain. According to my apps and books, I might get some stretch marks starting now...we will see how that goes.

Any updates/ purchase/ other news : The new apartment is slowly coming together. I'm super excited because I can now exercise!!!!!  I've gained some weight (Which is great) and I got to hear the baby's heart beat at this last appointment (150)

Gender guesses: So for the past few weeks everyone has said boy, boy, boy. Me, I have no clue, sometimes I dream boy, sometimes I dream girl, sometimes I dream monkey or dog or alien baby. But now, I'm having people say girl. What do you think?

21 weeks and our computer broke

Somehow, during the move, our laptop must have fell.  The inside of the screen is cracked. Ugh...just what we need.  But the move is going alright! We are almost done unpacking boxes, and I have realized...the next move we make I better not be pregnant. Mainly because I was so sick, that I had to leave Jeffrey in charge of packing. While....he doesn't pack how I like too (I like to color code and keep everything from the same room in the same box). But he is my husband and I love him

Now onto my 21 week update:

I will post the picture a little later.

Baby is the size of a pomegranate or the size of an 80's Fanny Pack. (Wow I haven't thought of those for a long time) The baby has grown 4 inches this week!

Symptoms: Still super tired, still sick, and now I'm starting to get some pain in my lower back going down into my right leg. It is also getting harder to get comfortable at night for sleeping.

No new baby purchases yet...Maybe soon. We will see.

Gender: Let me hear it, what do you think?

19 weeks, 21 more to go

Good Thursday Morning,

There will be no "bump" picture today. Since I am doing this while on the road.

So to start:

Baby is the size of a Mango or for Dads the baby is now the size of a square tissue box, (which seems so much bigger than a Mango) and is about 8.5 oz.
The baby now has hair on his/her head and is developing the 5 senses.  The white coating called Vernix has started to develop, the baby is moving around. Once in a while, I can feel little flutters, so I think the kid must be kicking.

Symptoms: Let's see...I still have some morning sickness, (It's not too bad just once or twice a day now) and I'm still super tired. My asthma has kicked it up to high gear and  my feet has started to hurt. Otherwise, nothing else.

Gender Prediction: Still  have no clue. Right now my family thinks the baby is going to be a boy, so they have already given "him" a nickname based on what his name will be if he is a boy. I guess for that one needs cravings to tell.... so meat, chocolate and that's about it.

Oh and I followed my doctors orders yesterday and had a cheese burger. If that isn't high in calories than I don't know what is.

18 weeks...what do you think?

Today I am 18 weeks! So here's the picture?

So the baby is the size of a sweet potato. Or if you are like me and get confused with the veggie/fruit..the baby is now the size of a pint of Ben and Jerry's Ice cream. (Ohh ice cream)

Let's see, my baby is able to yawn and hiccup, and is doing acrobats. We all know that the baby has found my bladder, but now the baby want to keep me up at night. I have insomnia.

It's a New Girl time....

I seriously love my Husband. This week-end has been nothing but chaos! If I go into the details, you all would need a coffee break in the middle of reading it, and then a cookies at the end. So to save your eyes, I'm just going to brag about my husband, and his awesome friends who helped us out.

Actually, we are staying with them, until our new place opens up for us. So, it's me, and three guys. In a way, I feel like Jess form New Girl

So, we have all of our stuff in their apartment, along with Winston. Which makes this super fun. Of course, for me, since I couldn't really help with moving items, the first thing I do for all these men is make them dinner. (It's the least I could do, like really, my husband and his friends have been wonderful).  But, in the process of making dinner this was the only  thought going through my head

And then, if anything ends up bugigin me, I might say something like this

Anyways, I'm super excited for this next week. Of course I will be on the road again, but, soon and very soon, I will be posting about my new place. and then maybe...just maybe...we might buy some stuff for the baby.

16 weeks!!! What do you think?

Today I am 16 weeks. So do you think there is a bump?

Oh and for fun, Seedling is waving at you!

So on to notes!

Baby is the size of an Avocado! Yum, yum. I really want some avocado egg salad now.

Seedling is able to do a lot this week! For starters, my little wiggle worm (that's what the Dr. called seedling on Tuesday) is moving around a lot! And I may be able to start to feel the baby moving! I really hope I can feel my baby move. I know my baby has found my bladder and is jumping on it all the time.

I also think I have a big baby. My phone app says that the baby should weigh about 2.75 oz to 3.5 oz. My baby weighs 4 oz. I'm hoping that is a good thing. The heart beat was 162 on Tuesday..so nice and high.

Seedling can make facial expressions, and has finger nails! Seedling is also covered in tiny little hairs called lanugo for protection but should lose all of that before he/she is born.

Symptoms: I'm tired all the time.Plus I have a cold, so that makes me more tired.  Otherwise...I'm only throwing up 1 to 2 times a day, sometimes it's 3 to 4 times a week!!!!! Which is great. I have had no weight gain, but what ever.  I also have some acne :(

Projects: Nothing new. I don't want to to have something started and then lose the baby. I cannot jinx myself like that.

Gender prediction...So what do you think? Do you need food cravings? If so, not to much...just salt, meat, chocolate and fruit. Ohh strawberries and ice cream.

So, what do you think?

Undie's Run

Hello all,

So, as many of you know I have NF. I have talked about it a few times, but now that I'm expecting...I'm wondering how will it affect me and the baby. So, I'm off to do some more research.

I did have a surprise when I logged into Facebook the other day. This was my little sister's status:
"Each year 7,000 children are born with Neurofibromatosis (NF) a disease that causes tumors to grow on the nervous system. NF can cause blindness, deafness, learning disabilities, and severe chronic pain. Currently there is no cure for NF and very few options for treatment. Children’s Tumor Foundation is a non-profit medical foundation which has been fighting to end Neurofibromatosis for the last 30 years. My family is personally affected with NF, for this reason along with many others; Children’s Tumor Foundation is the charity which I have chosen to support this year. In an effort to help end this disease I will be running in Cupid’s Undie Run and I ask many of you to do the same. Cupid’s Undie Run raises not only awareness of this illness but money to help support the research as well. If those affected can be so brave to live with the cards they’ve been dealt, then the least we can do is to put on our underwear and go for a run in the dead of winter to help raise awareness and support. If this sounds like something you are interested in there are 17 locations Nationwide. I will be running in Minneapolis this winter and anyone who wants to join me can! For me information either ask me or click on the link below. ‪#‎endnf‬‪#‎imwithcupid‬"

Cupid's Undie Run is back in 2014.. with a whole bunch of new cities! Check it out, and make sure to pre-register: www.cupidsundierun.com #imwithcupid #endnf

Photo: Cupid's Undie Run is back in 2014.. with a whole bunch of new cities! Check it out, and make sure to pre-register: www.cupidsundierun.com #imwithcupid #endnf

If there was a love button, I would love this.  I think it is important to be able to raise money for NF. I also think it is important to raise money for a cause that you love. I know that my husband is going to run with her since I will not be able to. I encourage all of you to help raise money for one of your causes, and if you don't have a cause....join mine.
